Career Categories
Career Categories
Career Categories help you organize job openings into different groups (for example, Design, Marketing, Development, etc.). This allows visitors to easily filter and browse careers based on their area of interest.
How to Add a New Career Category
In your WordPress Dashboard, go to Careers → Career Categories.
You’ll see the Add New Career Category section.
Field Descriptions
Name
Enter the name of the category as you want it to appear on your site. Example: “Marketing” or “UI/UX Design”.
Slug
The URL-friendly version of the category name. It is usually lowercase and contains only letters, numbers, and hyphens. Example: “marketing”, “ui-ux-design”.
Parent Career Category
Select a parent category if you want to create a subcategory. Example: The term Design can be a parent of Graphic Design and Web Design. Leave this as None if it’s a main category.
Description
Add a short description for the category. Some themes may display this on the frontend, depending on your layout.
Step 3: Add the Category
Once all the fields are filled in:
Click the Add New Career Category button.
Your new category will appear in the list on the right side of the page.
You can edit, delete, or view the category anytime.
Step 4: Assign Category to Career Posts
When creating or editing a Career post:
Go to Careers → Add New.
In the right-hand panel, find the Career Categories box.
